Our outing to the Phillies ballgame is July 10th.  It will be a day game with the St. Louis Cardinals.  For tickets and ticket information, call chairman Fred Reighn at (856)728-4148 or see him at our next meeting.

Captain Lee is putting together our spring flounder fishing trip.  Our last trip was outstanding.  Ask Bob Goodwin who won the pool.

Reports:
We would appreciate it if all retiree’s club members would check to see if your 2008 dues have been paid.  If not, please send your check to Local 14 retirees club in care of Local 14.

Sick List:
Bill Snyder’s son called and asked me to thank all of you who called his father.  He wanted to let everyone know how much he enjoyed hearing from you.  If you would like to call, his number is (215)357-4014.

A big thank you from Bill Cammann for all the phone calls.  Bill is recuperating at home and doing well.  If you would like to give him a call, the number is (215)679-3662.  Word has it that his problem was caused by his money belt being too tight.

Pal Joey Porter has been discharged from the hospital and is back in the nursing home.  We are waiting for an update and will pass on all information.

Walter Ungerbuehler is recuperating from having a hip replacement.  We all wish him a speedy recovery.  If you would like to call him, his number is (561)388-1540.  His home address is 822 Williamson Avenue, Sebastian, Florida 32958. I am sure he would like to hear from you.

We have received word that Joe Pettit has entered a nursing home.  As soon as we receive further information we will pass it on.

Goldy's Joke of the Month:
A tour bus driver is driving with a bus load of seniors down a highway when he is tapped on the shoulder by a little old lady.  She offers him a handful of peanuts, which he gratefully munches up.  After about 15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again and she hands him another handful of peanuts.  She repeats this gesture about five more times. When she is about to hand him another batch again, he asks her, “why don’t’ you eat the peanuts yourself?”

“We can’t chew them because we have no teeth” she replied.
The puzzled driver asks, “Why do you buy them then?”
The little old lady replied, “We just love the chocolate around them!”

I hope to see you at our next meeting on March 18th..
