Reports: |
Business
manager, Marty, stopped in to our meeting and gave the membership an update
on the new contract for the next three years. We congratulate the
negotiating committee for a job well done. We’ve come a long way!
Administrator
of Funds, Mike Burns also stopped in to our meeting with a piece of good
news. He informed us that, starting July 1, 2008, our dental
plan has been increased from nine hundred dollars to twenty five hundred
dollars per year. A big thank you Mike, for all the time and effort
that went to obtain this increase.
Our
club historian, Bill McCarron gave another of his outstanding reports.
Bill, you bring back so many memories. Thank you so much and welcome back
from all our members.

Goldy's
Joke of the Month: |
A police
officer stopped a motorist who was speeding down Main Street. “But
officer, “the man began, “I can explain.”
“Just
be quiet,” snapped the officer, “I’m going to let you cool your heels in
jail until the chief gets back.”
“But,
officer, I just wanted to say, “And I said to keep quiet! You’re going
to jail.” A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner
and said, “Lucky for you that the chief’s at his daughter’s wedding.
He’ll be in a good mood when he gets back.”
“Don’t
count on it,” answered the fellow in the cell. “I’m the groom.”
| I hope to see you at
our next meeting on June 17th.. |
