Our first order of business was a moment of silence for the passing of Marty Glisson.

 I am also sad to report the passing of Charlie Beebe.  He was a wonderful member and a good friend to many.  Charlie was laid to rest on March 26th.  He will be sadly missed.

 Business Manager, Pat Eiding and Administrator of Funds, Mike Burns, took time from their busy schedules to attend our meeting and explain the newly approved contract.  After many questions were asked and answered, the membership thanked all the officers and members of Local 14 who were instrumental in getting the increase in our pension.  A big thank-you from all of us.

 There are fifty seven club members who have paid their 2001 dues.  If you haven’t paid your dues, please send a check to the union hall in care of Local 14 retirees club or see the Wizard at our next meeting.  We thank those of you who live out of state for sending in your dues even though you cannot attend our meetings.  The yearly dues is our only source of income.

 Any club member needing transportation to our meetings can contact the union hall and we will make arrangements for you.

 2001 Trips and Events
Please make note of the following dates of events we are planning:
  June – New York show.
  July 25th – Phillies ballgame.  Tickets will be available at our April meeting.  Price is $10.00
  August – Baltimore Harbor and ballgame.  Waiting for a date.
  September 8th -  Union Picnic
  September 28th – Mesothelioma golf fundraiser.
  December – Christmas show at Radio City.  Waiting for a date.

 Our tenth year anniversary committee is planning a special Christmas luncheon which will include all members and their ladies.  You will receive more information in future newsletters.

 Our annual trip to Las Vegas is open to all club members, their family and friends.  The date is September 25th to October 1st.  Seven days and six nights at the Monte Carlo Hotel.  The price is $675.00 per person double occupancy.  If you would like to join us, please contact Dick Reeves at (215) 844-6575.
