Bud opened our april meeting with 30 members in attendance.
The first order of business was a moment of silence for Edward Cunningham who recently passed away. He was a devoted member of our club and a good friend to many. He will be sadly missed. The membership welcomed back Edgar Chew, our club historian, after his stay in the hospital. He gave us a report on the month and year members were accepted into the union for the last fifty years. Did you know that Roland Westerby is the oldest Local 14 retiree at 90 and still going strong! Many thanks to Ed for his time and effort in researching this information. Work has it that when Ed went into the hospital, his wife asked him where the money was hidden and he replied, “I’m not that sick.” Local 14’s spring golf outing at the Ramblewood Country Club had 147 people present including International President Bill Bernard. This was the largest turnout so far. Our hats are off to Chairmen Bill Greiss and Bill Cammann for putting such a great outing together. Thank you from all of us. The grandson of Charles Davis was the winner for the longest drive. He’s only 18 years old. Look out Tiger! Winner of the Dick Rollison medal was Jim McGee. Congratulations Jum! Again we thank everyone who helped make this event such a wonderful time.
