June 2001 |
| Our May
meeting was a lunch and golf outing at the Bensalem Country Club.
The weather, food and golf couldn’t have been any better. A big thank
you to Chairman Jim McGee for a job well done. Our first order of business
was a moment of silence for the passing of Joseph Troxell. He will
be sadly missed. If you are going on our Las Vegas trip, please send your
balance due to Dick Reeves. We must have the
rest of the money into the travel agent by June 15th. The
Wizard is waiting to hear from you. Notice to all members: If you
are going on any club outings, a ten-dollar deposit is required at the
time you sign up. Tickets will be sold on a first come basis.
We have sixty eight dues paying members in our retirees club. Are you a retiree of Local 14? If you are, we invite you to join our number one club. We meet the third Tuesday of each month at the union hall. Come join us and see some old friends and meet some new ones. Our club historian, Edgar Chew, has another one of his informative reports ready for our June meeting. Don’t miss it. Has anyone seen Charles Davis? Word has it, he was last seen leaving Dunkin Donuts with a big bag of donuts.
2001 Trips and Events Radio City Christmas Show, trip includes bus, show and dinner. Price is $80.00. Tickets are going fast. All members going on the Las Vegas trip on September 25th, please send you money in to Local 14 retiree’s club or see the Wizard at our June meeting.
