July 2001 |
| President
Bud Eiding opened our June Meeting with the introduction of our newest
member, Spencer Brown. The membership welcomed Spencer into the club.
We now have sixty-nine dues paying members.
Our first order of business was a moment of silence for all of our sick and departed members. President Bud then called for all committee reports. Al Staehle reported that the Phillies day game on July 25th is sold out. Thanks for a great job Al. Future activities were reported by the committees. Check "Dates to Remember" for dates and details. Union organizer, Jim Cunningham came to our meeting to thank our members for volunteering for picket duty. He said it was a job well done. A big thank you from the members of the club to those who answered the call. Our club historian, Edgar Chew gave another outstanding report. Ed has all his international journals since he went into the union. Ed’s reports go back fifty years. If you have a question about the union or international, Ed is the man to ask. Thanks Ed for all your time and effort from all of us. Our long time member, Bull Butler will entertain at our next meeting in July with his show and tell. This is going to be something special that we will all enjoy. So don’t miss Bill’s presentation at our next meeting. Reminder to all members:
If you sign up for a trip or show, a $10.00 deposit is required to hold
your reservation.
