 President Bud opened our March meeting with a moment of silent prayer for our sick members and those who have passed away.  Our condolences go out to the family of Mike Condon Jr. who passed away suddenly on March 21, 2002


2002 Trips and Events
Our April 16th meeting will be a lunch and golf meeting at the Bensalem Country Club.  This meeting will start at 10:00 a.m.  Please try to attend.  The cost is $20.00.

Local 14 Spring golf outing will be held on April 20th at the Ramblewood Country Club in Mount Laurel, N.J.  Shot gun start at 1:00 p.m.  Retired members are guests at no charge.  If you are going, please contact the union office by April 10th.

The All Star Labor Classic (basketball) for the Cerebral Palsy Association will be held on April 7th at St Joseph’s field house.  Anyone interested in playing on the Building Trades basketball team, please call Charles Seeberger at the union hall.

June 4th Circle Line cruise around New York and dinner on the way home.  The price of this trip is $70.00 which includes bus, boat ride and dinner.  If you plan on joining us, please sign up at our next meeting.  The bus will leave from the union hall at 9:30 a.m.

July 18th – Phillies Ballgame – Starting time for this game is 1:05 p.m.  Seats are on the 300 level.  Price for tickets is $14.00.  Please sign up at our next meeting, if you would like to go.

August 8th – Baltimore Harbor and ballgame.  Tickets are free.  Cost of this trip will be price of the bus only.
 

Our Las Vegas trip will be from October 1st to the 7th.  We will be staying at the Monte Carlo Hotel.  Price for this trip is $735.00 double occupancy.  If you would like to join us, please bring your $50.00 deposit per person to the meeting or send your check to Local 14 retirees club.  For more information, call Goldy at (609) 399-6770.

 We thank our club historian, Edgar Chew, for another one of this outstanding reports.  On a scale of one to ten, it was an eleven.

 Business Manager Marty, has requested that any member with old pipe covering memorabilia such as pictures, tools books or anything else pertaining to our trade from the past, please bring them in so they can be displayed in the new showcase at the apprentice school.

 President Bud has asked for volunteers to speak to our apprentice school classes.  members were asked to serve on committees and put together programs that will explain how we have achieved what we have today.  If you would like to help this program in any way, please see Bud at our next meeting.
