President, Jim McGee opened our meeting with a moment of silence for Hank
Cummings, long time member of Local 14, who passed away and for the passing
of Bud Rank, president of Universal Insulation.
Fund Administrator Mike Burns attended our meeting. Mike answered questions about our new prescription plan and explained how it will work. If you have any problems, call Advance PCS at 1-800-966-5772. They will be glad to answer your questions. We thank Mike for taking the time to come to our meeting. President Bud Eiding is home from the hospital. He is starting treatment on his hip. We are looking forward to his return. Hope he makes it soon. We can’t find anything. Bud’s phone number is (610) 369-8099. He will be happy to hear from you. Our secretary, Lee Rothermel, is home after his stay in the Mount Holly hospital where he was treated for an infection of his left hand. Lee will be receiving out-patient treatment for the next two weeks. We hope he hurries back. We’re all happy it’s not his right hand so he can still write the minutes. We’re not doing so good. Ray Boyce wouldn’t release Charles Davis from the refreshment table to take the minutes. Did you notice that we have the only refreshment committee with white moustaches? That damn powdered sugar always shows up. The membership would like to send a special thank you to our club historian Ed Chew for another outstanding report. The pictures and the report from 1950 were great. What memories! We thank you for your time Ed and all the effort you put into your reports. Our meetings are the third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. Our yearly dues are ten dollars. If for some reason, you cannot attend our meeting, you can still be a member by sending your dues to Local 14 Retirees Club. If you need transportation, call the office and we will arrange for someone in your area to pick you up. We are now sending out 285 newsletters each month to our members and widows. We need your support so come and see some of your old friends and make some new ones. 1.
