| Vice
President, Jim McGee opened our meeting by introducing Jim Moran, Director
of the Philadelphia Area Project on Occupational Safety and Health.
Jim explained the first Hatch National Asbestos Trust Fund bill (S.1125)
that is pending in the U.S. Senate. This legislation, as is currently
written, does not favor you or anyone who has been exposed to asbestos,
has a claim now, or may have one in the future. A special meeting
was held at the union hall on March 23rd to discuss this bill.
A reminder that our April 20th meeting will be a golf and lunch meeting. The meeting and lunch will be held at Copperfields Restaurant on route 73. The meeting will start at 10:30 A.M. Golf will follow at Indian Springs golf course. All members will receive directions in the mail. President Bud is receiving out patient treatment and coming along well. If you would like to call Bud, his phone number is (610) 369-8099. Please call after 6:00 P.M. Joe Pettit is doing well at home. Hurry back Joe. Larry Durham had his legs checked. The doctor said that his problem is caused by having his money in this shoe. Since Tom Buhalo has received his lung transplant, he is doing very well. Word has it that he may pay us a visit in the near future. Great news Tom! If you are aware of any sick members, please inform our newly appointed Sunshine Chairman, Bill Cammann. Cards will be sent along with flowers or fruit baskets to all sick members.
