June 2004

President, Jim McGee opened our May meeting with a moment of silence for the safe return of our men and women serving overseas in the armed forces.

Hats off to Jim Aikens for a great presentation of his vacation at the Mardi Gras in New Orleans.  The slides he showed were very good.  All our members loved the parade and especially the costumes of the marchers.  Jim said that they had so many beads given to them, it was impossible to bring them all home. Thank you Jim, from all of us.

Our club historian, Ed Chew, gave another of his information reports.  Thanks Ed for taking your time to put these reports together.

Our sunshine club Chairman Bill Cammann reported that all members on the sick list have received get well cards and flowers.  Joe Pettit is back home from the hospital after returning to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital for another operation.  He’s doing well.  If you know of any member who is ill, please inform Chairman Bill Cammann.
