August 2004

Vice President, Jim McGee opened our meeting with a moment of silence for our deceased members and for the men and women who are serving our country overseas.

A motion was made and passed that we take out a full page ad in the mesothelioma golf outing program book.  The tenth annual mesothelioma golf outing will be held on Friday, September 24th at the Ashbourne Country Club.  If you can work or help out in any way, please see Bill Cammann or sign up at our August meeting.

We had fifty members and friends attend the Phillies versus the Florida Marlins game on July 22nd.  It was a great outing and a wonderful time was had by all.  You did a great job Al.  Thank you from all of us.

We will hold any tickets for any member who signs up for any trip without a deposit.
We are enforcing our rule of sign up and pay up.

Our sunshine club chairman, Bill Cammann, reported that all members on the sick list have received get well cards.  Chairman Bill is arranging a visit to see President Bud Eiding.  If any member would like to join us, please contact Chairman Bill.

It was good to see Larry Durham.  How about him going to see Barbara every day when she was in the hospital?  She still didn’t tell him where the money was hidden.

Did you hear what Charlie Davis said to Ray Boyce when he saw “Biggie” in his seat at the refreshment table?  He told Ray to take two cream donuts and call him in the morning.
