President, George Griggs opened our meeting with a moment of silence for
our deceased members and for the speedy return of our men and women serving
our country overseas.
We
had forty members and friends on our trip to Baltimore Harbor and ballgame.
A good time was had by all. We even had our good friend Joe driving
our bus.
2004 Trips and Events
The
remaining trips for the rest of the year are:

September
11th Local 14 annual Picnic at Clementon Lake Park. The fun will
begin at 11:00 A.M. and will continue until 7:00 P.M. |

September
13th Half day fishing trip on the Starfish out of Sea Isle City. Departure
time 8:00 A.M. Sharp. |

September
24th Mesothelioma golf fund raiser. Thank you to all members who
volunteered to help. Our retirees club has taken a full page ad in
the program book. |

September
28th October 4th Las Vegas trip. All members have received their
tickets and travel information. Anyone going on this trip should
see Charles Davis at our September meeting for your roll of quarters.

4th The Mike Condon memorial golf tournament will be held at The River
Winds Golf Club in West Deptford, New Jersey. Golf will be $140.00

November
23rd Radio City Christmas show. Price per person is $80.00 for bus, show
and dinner. As of our last meeting, we have ten tickets left.
If you would like to join us, please send your deposit or full amount to
Local 14 retirees club or see the wizard at our next meeting. A big thank
you to all our ladies for their endless support. |

December
7th Christmas luncheon with our ladies at the Rosebrier Restaurant at
12:00 noon. There will be no charge for members who have paid their
dues. Cost for the ladies is $25.00. Co-chairman Bill Imperatore
is in charge of the sign up sheet and will collect the money for your lady.
We need the count of the ladies who are going so the committee can order
the gifts. |
We
will not hold
any tickets for any members who sign up for any trip without a deposit.
We
are enforcing our rule of sign up and pay up.
We
must know as soon as possible, if you and your lady are going to attend
our Christmas luncheon
at
the Rosebrier. There is no charge for members who have paid their dues.
Ladies cost is $25.00. We are trying to reserve the large room
with more space for everyone. We have to know how many ladies are
coming so that we can order their gifts. We will be posting a cut
off date for sending in your deposit. You cannot pay at the door.
You must be paid before the cut off date. If you have any questions,
contact chairman Larry Durham of Bill Imperatore. The date of this
affair is December 7th.
No
date has been set yet for Local 14 retirees Christmas party.
Bill
Rothermel was in the Deborah Hospital. He was admitted after having
problems breathing. Hes
home
now and feeling great.
Did
you notice the change in personnel at the refreshment table when Ray Boyce
walked in? Who said
that
Charles Davis has trouble seeing?
