April 2005

EARLY QUIT NEWSLETTER...
President Jim McGee opened our meeting with a moment of silence for the safe return of our men and women serving our country overseas.

The membership welcomed our newest member, Ed O’Driscoll.

Our April 19th meeting will be our spring lunch and golf outing.  Church Road in Mt. Laurel, N.J.  It is one mile south of the New Jersey turnpike.  Price of lunch is $20.00 including gratuity and you will be ordering from the menu.  Price for golf is $29.00 with cart at Indian Springs’ golf course.  All members playing golf will receive directions to the golf course at lunch from Chairmen Harold Chester, Al Grimmie and Larry Durham.

All members please check to see if your 2005 dues have been paid.  They were due in January. Those of you who cannot attend our meetings can be a member by sending your $10.00 check to Local 14 retirees club.  If you need transportation to our meetings, we can arrange to have someone pick you up.

Local 14’s spring golf outing will be held at the Island Green Country Club on May 14th.  The country club is located at 1 Red Lion Road.  For further information, call the union hall.

Bill Butler brought a display of his family’s memorabilia of their years with Local 14 to our March meeting. This display included news clippings, pins from conventions and many things that occurred during their years of membership.  This glass enclosed display will be at the union hall for all to see.  Thank you from all of us, Bill.
