Bill Rothermel opened our meeting with a moment of silence for the safe
return of our men and women serving overseas.
Bill introduced our newest members Joe Carlin and Jack Moughan. They were welcomed by everyone. This is a reminder – On March 21st from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. the staff from Fox Chase will be at the union office to conduct blood draws. If you are interested in participating in this study, you must contact the union office as soon as possible to schedule a time. Sick

Trips and Events
Our spring golf and lunch meeting will be held on April 18th. Chairmen Larry Durham and Al Grimme reported that we will be at Indian Springs. Cost of lunch is $15.00 and for those who are playing, golf and cart are $29.00. Members will receive directions in the mail. Chairmen Al and Larry reported that they have met with the people at Ventura’a Restaurant in reference to our Christmas luncheon and reservations were made. We compliment you both for a job well done. The Wizard reported that we will be going on the Circle Line Cruise around New York on June 28th. We will have dinner on the way home at Mastori’s restaurant. Price for this trip including dinner is $90.00. Our outing to the Phillies ballgame will be on August 17th. This will be a day game. Price of tickets is $20.00. Contact chairman Fred Reighn for tickets. The date for Balitmore Harbor and ballgame will be announced as soon as we get the schedule. Tickets are free of charge to members and their family who will get first choice. Price of the bus is $25.00. Chairman Jim O’Driscoll is waiting for information on a trip to Washington D.C. He is working on a tour of the capitol and of course the Cherry Blossoms. We will be stopping for dinner on our way home. Date will be April 20th and the time will be in our next newsletter. Chairman Bill Rothermel has put together our cruise from Philadelphia to Bermuda. It will be from September 30th to October 7th, eight days and seven nights aboard the Royal Caribbean Empress of the Sea. The price for an inside cabin is from $614.00 plus $71.28 taxes and ocean view cabin from $759.00 plus $71.28 taxes. A deposit of $250.00 per person must be paid by our March meeting on the 21st.
