EARLY QUIT NEWSLETTER...
President Bill Rothermel opened our meeting with a moment of silence for the safe return of our men and woman serving overseas.

Hats off to Larry Durham and Al Grimmie for a great lunch and golf meeting. The weather and the food were outstanding.

2006 Trips and Events


It’s time once again for Local 14’s spring golf outing on May 6th. It will be held at the Melrose Country Club located at 7600 Tookany Creek Parkway in Cheltenham. Shotgun starts with all golfers teeing off at 1:15 P.M. As always, golfers who are retired members are guests and there will be no charge. For more information, call the union hall.

Our outing to the Phillies ballgame will be on August 17th. This will be a day game. Price of tickets is $20.00. To obtain tickets, see Chairman Fred Reighn at our meeting on May 16th.

The date for our trip to Baltimore Harbor and ballgame will be announced when we receive the baseball schedule. 

Tickets are free for members and their families. There will be a charge of $30.00 per person for the bus.

Our cruise on the Circle Line around New York on June 28th has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

Our fishing trip Chairman, Lee Rothermel, reported that he is looking into three trips. Spring, summer and fall. He will have more information at our next meeting.

President Bill Rothermel has put together our cruise to Bermuda. We will leave from the Philadelphia Navy Yard on September 30th and return on October 7th. Eight days and seven nights aboard the Royal Caribbean, Empress of the Seas. 

The price for an inside cabin starts at $614.00 plus tax.
