EARLY QUIT NEWSLETTER...
Vice President Jim O’Driscoll opened our meeting with a moment of silence for the safe return of our men and women serving our country overseas and for our deceased members.  After the reading of the minutes of our previous meeting and the financial secretary’s report, both were accepted, all committee chairmen were called on for their reports.


Dates to Remember
The following are trips and outings for this year:

Chairman Fred Reign reported on the Phillies ballgame on July 28th.  This is a day game starting at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $23.00.  If you need tickets or further information, please call Fred at (609) 728-4140.

Captain Lee, fishing trip chairman, has set July 12th for our flounder trip. All directions and time and place will be in his next report.

The International Convention starts on August 5th in Las Vegas.  Headquarters for the convention will be Caesars Palace.  Boscov’s Travel has a Las Vegas package for five days and four nights, staying at the Excaliber Hotel and Casino for $454.00 per person including tax and transfers. You can upgrade to Treasure Island Hotel and Casino for $520.00 per person. A travel packet is also included.  This trip is on Southwest Airlines out of Philadelphia.
 
The Mesothelioma golf fund raiser will be held on September 28th.    All further information will be in the mail.
 
On November 10th, the credit union will hold its 40th anniversary party.  Further information will be received by all members of the credit union.  Don’t miss this affair.  It’s going to be outstanding!

The Local 14 membership picnic will be held on September 8th.  All members will receive information as to time and place.

Chairman of our Christmas luncheon, Larry Durham, reported that we will be back at Ventura’s Restaurant on Route 73 in Voorhees on December 4th.  Our ladies will be joining us.



Other News
Members on the sick list are Charles Davis, Joe Porter and Al Grimmie. We are all thinking of you and look forward to your return.

Our trip to New York City has been cancelled due to lack of interest.  If you sent in a check for this trip, it will be returned.
