July 2007

EARLY QUIT NEWSLETTER...
Vice President Jim O’Driscoll, opened our meeting with a moment of silence for the safe return of our men and women serving our country overseas and the passing of Fred Conner.

After the reading of the minutes of our previous meeting and the
financial secretary reports, both were accepted. All committee chairmen were called on for their reports.

Reports:
Our Phillies ballgame on July 28th is sold out. Hats off to Chairmen Fred Reign for a job well done.

International convention starts on August 5th in Las Vegas.  Headquarters for the convention will be Ceasars Palace.  Book early if you are going.

The Mesothelioma golf fund raiser will be held on September 28th.  Our club will be taking a full page ad in memory of our deceased members.

On November 10th the Credit Union will hold its 40th anniversary party.  All Credit Union members will receive further information by mail.  Word has it that this party is going to be outstanding.  Forty years ago the first loan approved was for one hundred dollars.  We’ve come a long way baby!

Our club historian, Bill McCarran, gave another of his outstanding reports.  We all look forward to his reports at our meetings and thank him for putting so much time and effort in making these reports so great.
